Sociological fallacies versus scientific reality

We will examine various trendy pseudo-scientific theories that have in common an over-consideration of the role of the environment and a denial of bio-genetic variations among individuals.


Part I : Intelligence

Intelligence is not genetic, it is educational.

Variations in intelligence are due to variations in genes. The distinction between an intelligent person and a less intelligent person is primarily genetic.

The level of intelligence of an individual predicts very few elements.

Intelligence is highly hereditary and predicts a greater proportion of education, professional outcomes, socio-economic status, and health than any other trait.

Intelligence can be increased by social stimulation.

Intelligence is as heritable as eye color (0.85 in adulthood). The socio-educational environment has no impact on intelligence.

All individuals who are properly nourished and educated achieve good intelligence.

The Gaussian distribution of genes predisposing to intelligence naturally generates appreciable differences among individuals otherwise raised in the same environment.

There is no link between intelligence and brain size.

The correlation between intelligence and brain size is +0.3 to +0.4, which implies that individuals with larger brains will, on average, be smarter, and smarter individuals will, on average, have larger brains.

Darwin, Einstein, Voltaire, and Goethe... were primarily individuals born into good environments.

Geniuses are primarily biological phenomena with biologically much more efficient brains and superior auditory and visual spectrum acuity. Of course, such individuals were frequently born into intelligent families, characteristic of a highly heritable trait. Dogs do not give birth to cats.

Workers live shorter lives than upper management primarily for social and environmental reasons.

Society is stratified by intelligence. The lowest IQs live, on average, shorter lives primarily for genetic reasons. They have a higher frequency of mutant genes that impair intelligence and health in general. Approximately 10,000 genes are involved in general intelligence, nearly a third of the genome. High intelligence indicates a very low frequency of rare, mutant genes. This increases intelligence and health in general.

The social environment is decisive in a child's future social success.

If we control for IQ, the social environment is negligible in a child's future social success.

Yet, children of wealthy parents succeed more!

Simply because the socio-economic level reached by parents is a good indirect estimation of their intelligence level. These parents have a higher frequency of alleles increasing intelligence in their genetic heritage, which aptly allowed them to reach a good socio-economic level. They will genetically pass on this higher genetic frequency to their children, who will succeed better, on average.

Education is very important in socio-economic success.

Education strongly correlates with intelligence, which is the basis of the strong link with socio-economic success.

Socio-economic success is primarily a matter of education, a modifiable parameter.

Socio-economic success is primarily a matter of intelligence, a very slightly modifiable genetic parameter.

The average IQ progressively increases with the level of education, proof of its impact.

The average IQ increases with the level of education through natural selection: the lowest IQs are gradually eliminated from difficult studies, and the average IQ of those remaining mechanically increases. The most intellectually prestigious professions do not have more highly gifted individuals, but many fewer less gifted individuals, eliminated by natural selection. There are smart people everywhere, but there are few polytechnicians, physicists, or mathematicians with IQs under 120.

Education allows for intelligence.

It is intelligence that allows for education.

We enter university at around 18 years old after accumulating sufficient prior knowledge.

We enter university at around 18 years old because the brain is then at the peak of its bio-cognitive development, until around 25-30 years old, after which it declines.


Part II : Populations, genes, and intelligence

There is no race. Genes are randomly distributed across the globe.

It is a general principle of evolutionary biology that when populations of a species are isolated from each other, they evolve into two or more subspecies (also called races or populations). They are called varieties (in plants), strains, or races. In the case of humans, who are animals, they are called races. These different races or populations evolve due to the four processes (1) founder effects, (2) genetic drift, (3) mutation, and (4) adaptation. There are about ten major human populations with systemic differences. The brain of an African is not identical to that of a European, which is not identical to an East Asian. They do not have the same size and are not qualitatively identical.

Don't we say that there is only one human race?

There is only one human species. Within it, there are several major races or populations (often preferred synonyms): (1) Africans, (2) Middle Easterners and North Africans, (3) Europeans, (4) Eskimos, (5) Aboriginal Australians, (6) Pacific Islanders, (7) East Asians (Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Singaporeans...), (8) Southeast Asians (Cambodians, Filipinos, Indonesians...), (9) Native Americans.

"White systemic racism" leads to European domination.

Europeans have, on average, larger brains and higher IQs than Afro-Maghrebians, and they succeed more because of this higher genotypic intelligence. The frequency of alleles for high intelligence is higher in their genetic heritage. East Asians and Ashkenazi Jews are even more intelligent and achieve higher social scores than Europeans in all areas (education levels, average salaries...) regardless of the country (Europe, USA, Latin America...). When controlled for intelligence, average salaries are the same regardless of race. It can be concluded that discrimination does not exist or has very little impact. Socio-economic variations between ethnic groups are primarily biogenic in origin, parallel to variations in average intelligence.

The socioeconomic situation of African Americans has greatly improved since the struggles against racism!

The difference in socioeconomic status between Whites and African Americans is essentially a result of the average difference in intelligence, which has remained stable because it is genetic. As a result, the socio-economic difference between Europeans and African Americans has remained stable despite countless anti-racist struggles, which have had no effect: the wage gap between a European and an African American was the same in 1967. Note that East Asians have always had higher salaries than Europeans due to their higher average intelligence.

The average IQ is 100.

The average IQ is 100 among Europeans. It is 93 for Homo Sapiens as a whole.

It is 82 among sub-Saharan Africans, 90 among Middle Easterners and North Africans, and 103 among East Asians (Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Singaporeans...).

Ashkenazim have the highest frequency of alleles for high intelligence in their genetic heritage. As a result, they consistently rank at the top in intellectual rankings, regardless of the category (education level, average salary, Nobel Prizes, chess champions, soloists, great intellectuals...).


Part III : Populations, genes, and crime

Africans have a higher rate of crimes and delinquency compared to Whites due to police racism.

Blacks have a higher rate of crimes and delinquency primarily for biogenetic reasons:

(1) Their IQ is lower.

(2) The frequency of psychopathic personality is higher among them.

(3) They secrete more testosterone, which increases aggressiveness, libido, and self-esteem.

(4) They have lower neuroticism, reducing anxiety and facilitating acting out.

Individuals with lower IQs (regardless of race) commit most crimes and delinquencies because they are less aware of the consequences of their actions.

These predispositions causally explain their crime and delinquency rates, which are 8 to 15 times higher than those of Whites and 16 to 30 times higher than those of East Asians.

East Asians (Chinese, Koreans, Japanese...) commit roughly half as many crimes and delinquencies as Europeans, and this is attributed to their "culture."

East Asians have;

(1) A higher IQ than Europeans.

(2) A lower frequency of psychopathic personality.

(3) A lower level of testosterone, reduced aggressiveness, self-esteem, and libido.

(4) A higher level of neuroticism. This higher anxiety reduces acting out.

The ethnic hierarchy of crimes and delinquencies varies significantly from one country to another and depends on history and social parameters.

Regardless of the country around the world, the hierarchy of crimes and delinquencies remains remarkably unchanged. Populations with high IQs (East Asians) commit the fewest crimes, while populations with low IQs (Africans, followed by Middle Easterners and North Africans) commit the most crimes and delinquencies.


Part IV : Sexual differences

A "glass ceiling" prevents women from reaching the same level as men.

Men have slightly larger brains and slightly higher IQs in adulthood. This small difference of 4-5 points results in a noticeable difference in the frequency of highly gifted individuals. For IQs >130, there is only one woman for every two men. For an IQ of 145, there are 8 men for every woman. 90% of brains over 1700 cc belong to men. More than 97% of brains over 2000 cc belong to men (average IQ of 126 in this cranial volume range). The male cerebral advantage gradually increases: at 12 years old, a girl's brain volume is 92.2% that of a boy’s. At 21 years old, the female brain is only 86.6% that of a man’s in volume. This is accompanied by a progressive male cognitive advantage (non-existent or negative before age 12), peaking in adulthood (4-5 IQ points).

“Gender pay gap” : Women earn less than men.

Salary is determined by intelligence. Men have a slightly higher IQ (4.5 IQ points higher in adulthood), so, logically, they have a small financial advantage. Furthermore, men have a greater evolutionary motivation to earn money because they are selected by women based on this criterion. Women, on the other hand, are not selected by men based on this criterion. It is common, for example, to see a male doctor in a relationship with a female nurse. A female doctor in a relationship with a male nurse will be much rarer (even though women have been the majority in medicine for years). Women are hypergamous and seek men with more education and higher earnings than themselves. As a result, men have a greater evolutionary motivation (marked in behavior, innate) to move up socioeconomically and earn more money.

Sexes do not exist. There is no systemic difference between the sexes.

Sexes exist and differ biologically.

Sexism is the cause of the observed differences.

Sexes exist. They differ systematically in intelligence (small difference) and temperament. These genetic differences largely explain the observed differences.

One is not born a woman; one becomes one.

One is born a woman or a man, with different chromosomes. These biological differences lead to many observable differences between the sexes. It should be noted that gene expression is complete only in adulthood, so one is born a woman and gradually becomes one through continuous genetic activation, but in both cases, the genetic hardware is at work.


Part V : Populations, genes, and development

Woke ideology is antagonistic to Nazi ideology.

Woke ideology shares several aspects with Nazi ideology. It illegitimizes European socio-economic success and stigmatizes it, just as National Socialism claimed that Ashkenazi Jews dominated German society through "ethnic racism" and had no intrinsic value. The resentment of Germans towards Jews, who were socio-economically dominant (as seen in the compelling statistics in the Weimar Republic), is mirrored by Woke sentiments towards Europeans. Throughout South Asia, Chinese diasporas also dominate due to their higher intelligence (a 15-point IQ difference between East Asians and Southeast Asians). Quotas in universities to limit the entry of Chinese students and differentiated quotas are implemented in Indonesia, Cambodia, the Philippines, and Thailand.

In Woke ideology, Nazism, and communism, we find the same resentment of less intelligent individuals or populations towards more intelligent ones. It seems to be a central element in many genocides.

The underdevelopment of Africa is explained by history and colonialism.

The level of development in a region is directly related to the average intelligence of its inhabitants. The average IQ in sub-Saharan Africa is 80 (equivalent to the mental age of a 7-year-old European). It is not an "underdeveloped" region but rather a region with a level of development consistent with an average IQ of 82. Singapore was colonized by the English, but it is now one of the most developed areas in the world due to the high intelligence of the majority Han Chinese population and the eugenic policies implemented by its founding father, Lee Kuan Yew.

Europeans are responsible for Africa's underdevelopment.

Africa is not underdeveloped. It has a level of development consistent with a population whose average IQ is 82 (equivalent to the mental age of 7-8-year-old Europeans). Europeans are not responsible for the lower intelligence of Africans, which is highly genetic and evolutionary.

The emergence of the first civilizations 10,000 years ago in different parts of the world is due to the chance accumulation of knowledge.

The emergence of various civilizations 10,000 years ago occurred spontaneously after major ice ages, which allowed an increase in cranial volume and average intelligence through natural selection in the Northern Hemisphere. Homo sapiens populations, having become sufficiently intelligent, were able to make the Neolithic transition from hunting and gathering to sedentary agriculture and subsequently developed the first civilizations.

China, Japan, Korea, Singapore... are developing well because of an... "economic miracle."

China, Japan, Korea, and Singapore are populated by the same race: East Asians with larger brains and higher average IQs. This high genotypic intelligence is a central element in the rapid development of these countries. Southeast Asian countries (Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, etc.) are populated by a different race, Southeast Asians, who have a significantly lower IQ (around 94). As a result, these regions do not develop at the same pace. India, the Philippines, or Indonesia will never match China or Japan in development because the intelligence levels of the populations are significantly lower.

Islam is a problem in itself.

Afro-Maghreb populations have a low IQ. Higher religiosity with more dogmatism is one of the many manifestations of this lower intelligence. However, Afro-Americans, despite being Christians, have higher crime rates and lower levels of education compared to Arab-Muslims.

It is a country's development that enables the intelligence of its inhabitants.

It is the intelligence of the inhabitants of a region that enables the development of the area. The Human Development Index (HDI) of a country correlates with a +0.9 with the national average IQ.

Mixing races elevates us. It is good for our genes.

Mixing with non-European populations produces individuals who are less intelligent than Europeans, except for Eurasian mixed Europeans who are more intelligent simply because East Asians are slightly more intelligent than Europeans.

The international scholastic assessment scores reflect the educational quality of a country.

International scholastic assessment scores primarily reflect the average intelligence levels of a country's inhabitants, which is highly genetic. East Asians consistently rank at the top because their average intelligence is higher than that of Europeans.
